MCP Server - Browser Use

Get your API key at cloud.browser-use.com/settings. Use the standard Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY header. The legacy x-browser-use-api-key header remains supported for existing integrations. Treat your API key as a secret; do not commit it to your repository.

Claude Desktop

Add to claude_desktop_config.json: This local bridge requires Node.js and converts Claude Desktop’s stdio transport to the remote HTTP endpoint. Native remote connectors are configured separately in Claude’s connector settings, not in this file. The header argument has no spaces because Claude Desktop on Windows does not escape spaces in args.

Available Tools

Tool	Description
`run_session`	Create a V3 session and run a task. Supports `keep_alive`, `model` (e.g. `claude-sonnet-5`, `gemini-3-flash`, `claude-opus-4.8`; `tools/list` returns the full list), `output_schema`, `profile_id`, `workspace_id`, and `proxy_country` (default `us`; `null` disables).
`get_session`	Poll session status and output. Returns status, step count, cost breakdown, and live URL.
`send_task`	Send a follow-up task to an idle keep-alive session.
`stop_session`	Stop a session. `strategy: "task"` stops only the task, `"session"` destroys the sandbox.
`get_session_messages`	Get the agent’s messages — browser actions, reasoning, and results.
`list_sessions`	List recent sessions with status and cost.
`list_browser_profiles`	List browser profiles for authenticated tasks.

The MCP server runs API V3 sessions, not V4 runs.
